Lately, every bird seems kind of angry. If you’re looking for something slightly more cheery (and less addictive), the chicBuds Pink Fauvette Bird Speaker is one very pretty bird.

On the outside, this pink speaker also features a gold motif. On the inside, it has a 2-watt speaker and is compatible with the iPhone, iPods, Android devices, and pretty much anything else that can connect through the standard 3.5-mm jack.

Also, you can expect this bird to be ready to fly just about anywhere, providing up to four hours of music on a single charge.

This birdy will run you more than a few breadcrumbs, at $34.99. If you don’t want the pretty pink one, there’s also the chicBuds Fauvette Platinum Edition Speaker for $5 more.

Chef Recommends!

An iPad in the kitchen can be a valuable tool. In between Words with Friends, Mad Men on Netflix, and the occasional Pandora playlist, that portable can hold a wealth of recipes and other invaluable kitchen tricks.

The only problem with having the iPad in the kitchen is that things get messy in there. Sticky fingers and surfaces don’t always mix well with pricey gadgets! If you don’t have Martha Stewart-esque skills, you may want to invest in iPad Chef Sleeves.

For $19.95, you can score a 25-pack of these reusable plastic sleeves. They work with the iPad and iPad 2, so maybe you and an iPad pal can even split a pack. According to Think Geek, they can also fit a few other tablets, too.

Designed to protect your portable, each one is made of clear plastic that’s touch-sensitive, so it won’t interrupt use.

Boombotix Looks Like a Little Alien

Speakers come in all shapes and sizes. The Boombotix SB1 Portable Speaker is small, but well… sort of weird.

It kind of looks like a little alien, right? That said, Boombotix also acts like a little alien, clinging to you for dear life — because that’s what I assume aliens would do.

I also expect them to rock out, and the Boombotix does that as well. Using the wireless power of Bluetooth, Boombotix can play music from any compatible portable, such as a iPod, iPhone, Android devices, a laptop, and more.

Rated at 3 watts (5 max), the Boombotix has an LED indicator and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The latter should score you about 6 hours of music on a full charge. Expect that type of functionality (and friendship) to cost you $39.99.

Why wear pride on your sleeve when you can use that space for your iPod?

The Phubby SPORT Wrist Cubby is a wearable phone cubby. Slip your hand through the Phubby and your iPod (or iPhone or BlackBerry) through the Phubby. From there, it can cuddle and carry that precious portable wherever you go.

Don’t worry about sweating or itching in that special spot, either. The Phubby SPORT is made of a mesh fabric, so it’s comfy. It also allows you to see that device while it’s tucked in.

Even more impressive, this little strip of fabric also has another pocket to hold your keys, cards, and more.

Perfect for working out or going out, the Phubby SPORT is available in a variety of colors and small, medium and large sizes — all for $10.95.

Little Monsters

Monster? More like Transformer! The company that is known for its Beats by Dr. Dre headphones is partnering up with Diesel for a new line of headphones called VEKTR.

“If your eyes could hear, this is what music would look like,” the company says. Apparently, they think music is sort of robotic. Not saying that this line isn’t cool. In fact, this line of on-ear headphones is definitely very unique, with a diamond-cut Diesel logo on each plush ear cup.

Even more surprising than the actual look is that these headphones are also comfortable. Adding to this product’s cool look is the cable, which features a special triangular section to prevent any tangling.

For something slightly smaller, the line will also include VEKTR in-ear headphones. This option has a cool black color, with a single yellow accent and the Diesel logo on each earpiece.

Monster says that VEKTR will hit retail stores this quarter for $249.95. The in-ear model will run $100 less. If you’re in need of headphones now, Monster makes a ton of other headphone options.

yurbuds for Your Buds

OK — that headline is slightly misleading. That’s because I would completely hoard yurbuds earphones all to myself!

These sport earphones are specifically designed for working out. In fact, they were developed by an Ironman Triathlete and a 24-time marathoner. In other words, they should be able to handle a hardcore workout, even on your best day.

However, while the rest of you is in pain, you won’t have to worry about your ears. These yurbuds are pretty comfy! That’s probably because you won’t have to shove them back into your ear canal every 3 seconds; they’re actually guaranteed to never fall out.

The company just announced three additions to its Ironman Series. The Inspire Pro, Endure Pro and the Blaze will work for Ironmen (and women!), as well as anyone else that appreciates good sound when in motion. Each one is sweat-proof, water-resistant, and even boasts ambient noise protection so you can hear some of those surroundings — such as passing cars.

There are so many different iPod docks out there. However, the Hello Kitty Stereo Speaker System is certainly the prettiest one of them all.

This pretty girl can dock and charge just about any iPhone or iPod device. If you don’t have one of those, there’s also an auxiliary input for hooking up other devices using a 3.5mm stereo audio cable (that’s not included!).

On the inside, this 2.1-channel stereo system has a pair of 2.5-watt speakers and a 6-watt subwoofer. There’s also a touchpanel for simple control and a remote. Also, you can rub Hello Kitty’s perky little ears to raise and lower the volume.

This cuteness can be had for $129.99.

Designed for girls of all ages, these headphones allow you to rock your Barbie style wherever you go. Also, Barbie is quite versatile, so this set can be paired with an iPod or other MP3 player, as well as a slew of other portable devices.

Zombies are no stranger to the video game market. Is there actually a way to inject a little life into that genre? Just slap AMC’s “The Walking Dead” on the cover.

JAKKS Pacific are the lucky ones to snag rights to AMC’s hit drama, and will soon deliver a line of Deluxe Plug It In & Play TV Games that revolve around the show. When it hits, players can expect to wrap their hands around a “pump and shoot” shotgun controller to maneuver around multiple levels and multiple zombies!

Also, an expensive gaming console isn’t needed if you want these zombies to feast on your brain. The controller plugs right into any standard TV and has games built right in.

The line of The Walking Dead Deluxe TV Games will hit retailers this fall. In the meantime, you can catch The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season on Blu-ray. Of course, The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season DVD is also available.
