Super Streamer

How many times have you missed a favorite show? OK — how many times this week? It’s just as easy to forget to set the DVR or TiVo. Thankfully, having most shows available for streaming on the web is very convenient. What’s not so convenient is actually trying to watch them. Between trying to curl up in front of that small screen and the tin-can sound, it’s not a very entertaining entertainment experience.

However, companies like IOGEAR are making it easy to put what’s on the computer onto your big-screen TV. IOGEAR’s new Wireless HD Computer to TV Kit (GUWAVKIT2) is a complete no-brainer. It not only streams all of the video your eyeballs can handle, but it does so in HD (where available).

Using Ultra-WideBand (UWB) wireless USB technology, this easy-to-install device can stream content from your PC to any HDTV, monitor or projector, up to 30 feet away. It’s great for catching up on TV, but also for streaming movies, web clips, and even photos and music. If you have a webcam, you can even use the device to do video calls in your living room — and probably a lot bigger than you want them to be.

The Wireless HD Computer to TV Kit hooks to the TV via one HDMI cable. Compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP, the Wireless HD Computer to TV Kit (GUWAVKIT2) is available now for about $130.
